The 12 Days of the Holidays in Egleston!

Have you heard of Miracle on 34th Street? How about miracles on Washington Street?!

This holiday season was full of miracles in Egleston, from the Boston Fire Department who helped us decorate our tree, to great volunteers from St. Mary’s and San Andres who helped lead caroling to local businesses, to the ONLY snowfall of the year happening right during our Holiday Event on December 1st!

Check out great pics on our Facebook page and great highlights in the JP Gazette!

And now for a little poem from ESMS to you!

The Twelve Days of the Holidays in Egleston Square

On the 12th day of the Holidays, my true love gave to me:

12 monthly merchants’ meetings in 2012 (and 12 more planned for 2013!)

11 new jobs created in 2012 through 5 new businesses.

10 dedicated Egleston Square Main Street board members

9 blocks of fantastic costumes, bands, and drummers in the Egleston Square Roxbury Wake Up the Earth Parade!

8 delicious restaurants, from Canto 6 Bakery, to Star Fish to Millennium Restaurant.

7 members of the Boston Fire Department who helped decorate our tree

6 + 1505 volunteer hours! (Yes, that’s right…1511 volunteer hours were donated to Egleston Square over the past year!)

5 Egleston Farmers Market days in 2012 (& 8 more in January and February 2013!)

4 streets filled with over 80 fantastic local businesses!

3 dedicated walking beat officers

2 zipcodes & 2 districts of Boston and

1 FANTASTIC NEIGHBORHOOD!

SO WHO’S OUR TRUE LOVE? YOU ARE!

Thanks to your support, we’ve been able to do all of these things (and more!):
helping businesses grow, hosting successful events, revitalizing our public spaces,
promoting public safety & building our neighborhood!

Please consider making a tax-deductible year-end donation to Egleston Square Main Street
so we can do even more in 2013!

We wish you and your family all the best during this season and in 2013!
