New eatery opening in Egleston Square

A new beginning and a homecoming for owners Yonatan and Carmen Peña!

We are excited to welcome La Parada Dominican Kitchen, a new restaurant in the location formerly run by Bocao Restaurant and Grill at 3094 Washington Street, Roxbury.

Set to open at the end of September 2020, the spot will offer home-style Dominican cuisine, including (not surprising to those of us in the know about Caribbean food) healthy, vegan and gluten-free options. Owners Yonatan and Carmen Peña are creating a bright, welcoming environment in a fully revamped interior.

The Peñas live in Roslindale and are transforming the new space with help from family members.

La Parada is also collaborating with Egleston Square Main Street on a new seasonal outdoor dining and cultural area in the Egleston Square Peace Garden (stay tuned for more news soon!), planned to launch on September 30.

Yonatan lived on School Street in Egleston Square as a kid when his family first arrived in Boston from the Dominican Republic and says he is ecstatic to be back in the community. Welcome home!
